Tertullian Against Praxeas is a book written by Alexander Souter and published in 1919. The book contains a translation of Tertullian's work Adversus Praxean, which is a refutation of the heretical teachings of Praxeas. Praxeas was a theologian who denied the existence of the Trinity and taught that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were one person. Tertullian, a prominent early Christian writer, argued against Praxeas' teachings and defended the orthodox view of the Trinity. Souter's translation of Tertullian's work is accompanied by extensive notes and commentary, providing readers with a deeper understanding of the historical and theological context of the text. The book is a valuable resource for scholars of early Christianity and anyone interested in the history of Christian theology. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
