The purpose of this book was to inspire a 13 year old teenager who despised reading. She hated reading so much that the idea of writing a book was suggested as a challenge. The challenge of writing was used to instill an appreciation for reading. She did not like the thought of writing, but was encouraged to just try it. So, she did agree to share some of her thoughts in her book about being a teenager. It became exciting for her just thinking about writing her own book. Once she started sharing her own personal book, she developed a different feeling about reading. The top of each page in the book is purposely left blank. The young readers can draw pictures to go with the words on each page. Some blank pages and spaces are also included for personal ideas.
