(Excerpts from the book). The purpose of this novelette is to try to point out how the turning points for the better of some of the pressing problems plaguing our Philippine nation today can be reached. It must be pointed out at the outset that the turning point in a crisis is reached only after sometime, perhaps a long time of constant, continuous and relentless creative efforts towards the solution of the problem. Perhaps we are naïve in saying so, but we have to say it nonetheless. No successful business was built overnight or as they say, Rome was not built in a day. Aside from realizing that to reach the turning point requires constant effort and patience, one must be prepared for complications and relapses that will set back the timetable to reach the turning point. The saying that, if the principle is right the rest will be a matter of details does not hold water when trying to solve the problems facing the Philippines. In fact, in the solution of our problems, it is better for one to desist from mere principles and shallow generalizations, but instead stick to specific techniques and methodology as developed by recognized creative thinkers. Again, in trying to reach the turning point one should tell himself that, there is not a job in the world that cannot be done better than it is being done. A man is not doing the best he can for the company that employs him, the people he serves, or for the world, if he goes through life without looking for that better way.
