The Turba Philosophorum is a classic alchemical text that has been translated and annotated by Arthur Edward Waite. It is a collection of ancient and medieval alchemical treatises that explore the nature of the philosopher's stone, the transmutation of metals, and the spiritual transformation of the alchemist. The text is divided into 51 chapters, each of which contains a series of dialogues between various alchemical figures, including philosophers, sages, and adepts. These dialogues cover a wide range of topics, including the symbolism of alchemical imagery, the nature of the four elements, the role of astrology in alchemy, and the importance of spiritual purification in the alchemical process. Throughout the text, Waite provides extensive commentary and analysis, drawing on his deep knowledge of alchemical symbolism and history. The Turba Philosophorum is an essential text for anyone interested in the history and practice of alchemy, and Waite's translation and annotations make it accessible to modern readers.Called also The Book of Truth in the Art and the Third Pythagorical Synod (reprint of a 1914 edition). The Turba Philosophorum is indisputably the most ancient extant treatise on Alchemy in the Latin tongue. This text is in English. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
