At the end of the first quarter of 2026, Belarus's economy was on track to meet its growth targets. The main drivers of the economy in January-March remained information and communications, transportation, and agriculture. Our country's foreign trade in goods exceeded $23 billion over the first three months of this year. During this period, foreign investors poured nearly three and a half billion dollars into the real sector of the Belarusian economy. Cooperation with countries in the far arc continued to grow. Exports to Latin America and the Caribbean increased by 27.9%, and to Asia by 21.3%. During this time, Belarus adopted important documents aimed at developing international economic cooperation with partners on different continents. In particular, the Directive On the Practical Implementation of the All-Weather and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China was signed. Meetings of intergovernmental commissions with Oman, Egypt, and Sudan were held, as well as the Belarus-Latin America Forum. All these facts demonstrate that our country is steadily developing cooperation with partners in the trade and economic sphere. This study explores these issues.
