But the huge, hunky firefighter who plucks my kitten out of the tree like he's picking an apple doesn't seem to mind, and making him cookies is the least I can do to say thank you, right? Especially since I've missed my cruise now, and I'm bored as heck in this quaint little town...

I don't need this tiny human and her tinier fluffball of a cat in my life. I don't need her cookies or her smiles. But it's going to be a long, hot summer, and Andrea's convinced this town has nothing worth staying for. Between the strangeness of the supernatural and our small size, it's hard for Pine Ridge to keep teachers for long-unless they have a reason to stay.
It's my duty as a public servant to make sure the children get a good education with a funny, talented, sweet teacher like Andrea. Showing her around won't take up much time.
I just wish she'd stop taking up so much of my heart along with it...
