Trigger Warning Magazine is an independent literary publication from Caffeinated Muse Press that publishes poetry, fiction, and visual art without flinching. Each issue is built around a central theme, and Issue Three takes on Tension, Restraint, and Control.
The magazine exists because difficult human experience deserves difficult art. We do not ask our contributors to soften their edges or explain themselves. We believe the most dangerous thing a literary magazine can do is play it safe, and we have no interest in being safe.
Issue Three features eighteen writers and artists from across the literary world, including work nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. The contributors range from internationally published poets with dozens of prior nominations to emerging voices appearing in these pages for the first time. The visual art in this issue, which includes photography, graphite, charcoal, and digital mixed media, is treated as equal to the written work and not as decoration for it.
Trigger Warning Magazine is published annually in both print and digital formats. The print edition is designed as a collectible object, with full bleed, high contrast, and an art forward layout. The digital flipbook edition is available free at triggerwarningmagazine.com.
This is not a magazine for readers who want to feel comfortable. This is a magazine for readers who want to feel something.
