Tricked By The Alphabet is a funny, heartfelt, and empowering children's picture book that follows the bold and curious mind of seven-year-old spelling superstar Bianca Marie. She's always been at the top of her spelling class-until one Monday morning when her perfect streak is shattered by a 90. Shocked, confused, and determined to prove a point (literally), Bianca launches a full investigation into what she believes is the real culprit: the alphabet itself.
From questioning silent letters to reimagining the ABC song, Bianca uses creativity, logic, and the kind of passionate reasoning only a child can muster as she attempts to reclaim the ten points she believes were unfairly taken. With the help of her sparkly purple notebook, a dictionary, and her very patient mom, Bianca builds a hilarious and surprisingly thoughtful case about fairness, memory, and why the letter K might not even be necessary.
When she presents her findings to her teacher-and even the principal-Bianca learns that sometimes the world doesn't bend the way we expect... but our feelings and efforts still matter. Young readers will relate deeply to Bianca's sense of justice, her dramatic imagination, and her desire to be understood.
Warm, clever, and overflowing with personality, Tricked By The Alphabet celebrates determination, critical thinking, and the emotional ups and downs of growing up. It's a perfect read-aloud for classrooms, families, and any young learner who has ever felt that something just wasn't fair.
