This Objection at first appearance may seem to carry more Shew of Authority for Water-Baptism, than some other Places; But upon due Consideration, it will appear the same with the rest, where only Matter of fact in baptizing with Water is mentioned. As, First, Water-Baptism is not mentioned in that Text, but they are said to be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus, v. 5. And there are those who deny it to be WaterBaptism, and say 'twas the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, which fell upon them, by the Imposition of the Apostles Hands particularly Dr. Bell, in his Doffrine of Baptisms, Page 11. But let us suppose they were baptized with Water, how does the Mentioning of bejng only baptized to John before, and thereupon cumcifiow, and other Legal Ceremonies after this time?
