Grant Carrington is a world-renowned surgeon who has the potential to dominate any field he sets his mind to. The only obstacle for Grant is the surgeon himself. He lives his life on the high the trauma center brings him daily, and when things don't go his way, he relies on unhealthy sexual patterns to put a bandaid on his issues. That is until Elizabeth Callaway steps into his trauma center and turns his life upside down.

Elizabeth Callaway is a determined and extraordinary resident, newly graduated from the University of New York. She has successfully escaped her small-town life in the middle of nowhere Georgia and has established an independent lifestyle in the city. She knows what she wants, and she doesn't let anyone, or anything get in her way. She's never allowed anyone to see her vulnerability that is hidden deep within her, and she has managed to build a happy and bubbly exterior to cover her trauma. All is going well until one famous doctor makes her crack under pressure.
