This cold world is nothing new to Thannia. She has been getting it on her own since she was abandoned by her father when she was eight years old. She wants to finish school and start her own business so she won't be a product of her surroundings. Her and her best friend Santia are like two peas in a pod, both with big dreams and no intention of allowing anyone to stand in their way. Until a near-death experience enters her life. Her entire life has vanished, leaving her lost and alone with no one to turn to. What happens when love enters her life and causes her to crumble? Will she hide and live in constant fear of being discovered for her emphatic actions? Will she let love lead her soul straight to the heart of her savior?
Kojo Rain is a half-reformed thug who was fortunate enough to have a mother with the right connections to help him rise in the streets.Of course, he has had his share of tragedies, difficulties, and setbacks along the way. A dangerously mentaly unstable opponent who is difficult to shake and an old crooked cop are just a couple of the issues he is dealing with. Kojo wants nothing more than peace and companionship from a woman who understands and can assist him in overcoming his problems. Fortunately, he is introduced to the Orishas' ancient spirituality, which provides him with a new outlook on life and love. Thannia is thrust into his path by fate, and he quickly learns what love is. Will she let him in so they can provide each other with the support they need? Will they be torn apart before or after they even begin?
