The serious septic condition of the patient and the total absence of symptoms pointing to the involvement of the genitourinary tract caused the calculus to be overlooked during the life of the patient. The calculus weighs 23.62 grams, is somewhat irregular in contour and appears to be made up of two ovoid constituents fused together as they lay in contact by the deposition of urinary salts.
