This book presents the Tracé Bleu philosophy and twenty years of Architecturestudio's projects in China, showcasing how this open framework for sustainable and humanistic design reshapes architectural practice and habitat. Text in English and Mandarin.

This book presents the profound architectural philosophy and two decades of built work in China by the renowned French studio Architecturestudio. This volume delves into the studio's innovative Tracé Bleu concept--an open-ended framework advocating for ecological sustainability and deep humanistic reflection. It champions a philosophy of thinking before building, emphasizing a return to the land, the protection of ecosystems, and responsible resource management in response to global climate and social challenges. The book illustrates how this forward-thinking approach is translated into a tangible, refined governance framework for the human habitat through specific projects. More than a retrospective, it documents a dynamic, ongoing dialogue that redefines the architect's role, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and builds a collective vision for alternative ways of living, solidifying the studio's contribution to the integration of architecture, ecology, and culture.

Text in English and Mandarin.
