A bourbon heiress running from the life built for her. A reclusive ex-soldier hiding from the life he destroyed.
Evie Ward comes to the mountains to catch her breath and lick her wounds.
Instead, she ends up stranded in a remote lodge with Ryder Hale, a guarded, battle-scarred man who wants nothing to do with her.
The storm traps them.
The cold closes in.
And the only thing more dangerous than the mountain... is the way he looks at her.
Ryder knows better than to get close. He's built his life on distance, on control, on never letting anyone in.
But Evie doesn't scare easy. And for the first time in a long time... she sees him.
Then the storm breaks.
And so does everything else.
Because Evie's past isn't done with her.
And Ryder's about to find out exactly how far he'll go to keep her safe.
