Every journey has a beginning... and this one starts messy.

Welcome to the very beginning of Toby and Friends.

Before the big lessons, before the growth, and before each friend discovers who they are becoming, there is a messy start full of surprises, funny moments, mistakes, and the kind of everyday chaos children know very well.

In Journey Messy Start, readers meet Toby, Sara, Ava, Jeff, Ryan, Charlene, and their friends as their story world begins. Each character brings a different personality, a different way of thinking, and a different kind of trouble, making this the perfect first step into a connected series of adventures.

Designed as part of the Genius Maze program for ages 6 to 12, this book uses expressive drawings and story-based moments to spark imagination, curiosity, and reflection. It is a warm, lively introduction to characters children can grow with across future books.

This is where the friendships begin.
