What happens when a depraved film producer swears that love itself will be the victim of his final, vengeful act? Summer has just announced that she'll never fall in love again, and Valerie that she'll continue to do so daily. Flinders is in love with someone he hasn't heard from in a year while Mick has vowed that love to him's a thing of yesterday. Enter Duke-an about-to-be-disgraced film producer, and Flinders' older brother. As his final act before going into sex-pest exile, Duke swears to take revenge on Flinders and Mick by getting them to fall for Valerie and Summer-solely so that he can then break all their hearts. As he deceives, manipulates and connives to get them together, the four struggle to decide if their feelings are genuine or if the whole thing is one big drunk and lusty conspiracy. A story of sword-fights & soliloquies, insults & innuendo, mermaids & bonobos, brunches & beaches, poetry & parties, champagne &... ahem... sex... To Save a Forest Virgin is the hilarious new play from comedy novelist Joshua Humphreys.
