Includes background material relating to the Neolithic in Greece, as well as details of daily life as illustrated through the artefacts found at Diros: tools, weapons, weaving utensils, storage jars, eating and drinking vessels, undecorated and painted pottery. The book concludes with a discussion of funerary practices and rituals surrounding the chthonic deity, as evidenced by the finds at Diros.
