Growing up I felt different, but I was lucky because I always had caring teachers. If you are feeling different, sad, or lonely talk to a teacher or share your feelings with your parents. They do care. Sometimes finding something you enjoy also helps. For me, it was playing the piano. Though I felt different for many reasons, I didn't let that stand in the way of my dreams. I eventually became a teacher and now I write children's books. Even Rocky, the puppy in the story finds being different is okay.
