Born in India and now living in Canada, Ishak Christian traces his story from ancestral weaving communities in Gujarat to life behind a radio microphone, through migration, silence, embodiment, and fatherhood. Along the way, he uncovers how faith-particularly the light of Christ-can persist without spectacle, argument, or force.
This is not a story of dramatic conversion or instant answers. It is a tracing: of posture rather than position, of dignity rather than dominance, of attention rather than optimization. From caste and stigma to clarity and presence, the book explores how light travels inward when outward expression becomes risky-and how it continues quietly through the body, memory, and everyday life.
Woven through the narrative is Fit by Now, a lived practice that emerged from journaling, observation, and embodiment as the author approached forty. Rather than offering prescriptions, the book invites readers to notice patterns-in breath, behavior, conflict, silence, and alignment.
