Even if some readers are not interested in knowing how such a motley assortment of poems came to be written, I have a duty to explain to those few who are wondering what the thoughts behind these verses were. Most of the poems are from personal experience and a few from observations and stray and random thoughts.
A word uttered, a phrase read or a sentence spoken by someone somewhere, flashes across my mind, when in 'vacant or pensive mood' (to borrow a line from William Wordsworth's, Daffodils') and the beginnings of a poem emerges. And that is how this book came to be.
The poems have not been placed in the same order in which they were written and can, therefore, be read in any order the reader wishes to.
What could not remain a thought, became a poem
