Prayer is more than a ritual; it is a quiet doorway to strength, clarity, and unshakable peace in a restless world. In the stillness of a whispered prayer, we rediscover our courage, our purpose, and the deeper meaning behind our struggles. It does not demand perfection or eloquence, only honesty and a willing heart. When life feels overwhelming, prayer becomes the steady anchor that reminds us we are never truly alone. By inviting prayer into your daily rhythm, even in small moments, you open yourself to guidance, renewal, and hope that transcends circumstance. Encourage others not by obligation, but by sharing the calm and confidence it brings into your own life. In doing so, you spark a quiet transformation; one soul, one prayer, one moment at a time.

Cindy Douglas, a pastor's wife, counselor, teacher, mother, sister, and exceptional friend. As well a children's pastor and youth pastor she stands on values of family, faith and compassion. She's served and attended bible colleges and Christian program's. Her empathy has carried her to leadership roles all throughout Minnesota, Virginia, Florida and Jamaica. Her heart for missions eventually led her to meet her husband, Jimmy Douglas. Married for 35 years, blessed with three talented children, and four amazing grandchildren. While living her life on and with purpose. She currently ministers at GreatLife Church and serves as a Marriage Counselor alongside her husband.

It gives me joy to recommend the book, This Is Why I Pray. I've known the author, Cindy Douglas for well over 20 years. In traveling around the world in ministry, I would rather have Cindy pray for me. As I have watched her interact with her family, both those who have gone before and with her children and grandchildren. She has a rich heritage of family as well as prayer. That makes this a must read book. You will laugh and you will cry, but most importantly you will learn how to strategically focus your prayers so that they will be answered.
