Carla was ordained as a pastor on August 27, 2019. She authored I Survived Property Management-Well, Sorta, which reflects on her many years as an apartment manager, and I Surrendered to Jesus! Now What?. Carla and her husband, Mark, lived most of their married years in Illinois, close to the Mississippi River across from St. Louis. They raised three children and currently have 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whom they adore. In 2024, they moved to Tennessee, in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley, a long-time dream of theirs. Mark's mother, Bonnie, lives with them as well. As an entrepreneur, Carla owned a successful pie and cookie business for over five years. Both Mark and Carla are retired now. Carla never dreamed she would be an author but thanks God for still using her and giving her more purpose than being chef, caretaker, chauffer, and maid. God is always good!
