The monograph is devoted to the development of theoretical and practical foundations of an environmentally friendly, low-cost, and technologically flexible chemical deposition method for synthesizing zinc-subgroup metal chalcogenide thin films (A2B6: Zn, Cd, Hg, and their compounds with S and Se), as well as solid solutions and binary film structures based on them. For the first time, the study combines calculations of boundary conditions for the formation of poorly soluble compounds with quantum-chemical modeling of reaction systems, enabling the substantiation of complexing agents and optimization of synthesis parameters. Using XRD, SEM, AFM, optical, and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, the influence of deposition conditions on phase composition, optical and morphological properties, and band-gap tuning of the obtained nanomaterials was investigated. The practical significance of the results lies in creating a reliable technological basis for producing high-efficiency domestic solar cell structures, photosensitive devices, and optical systems for special and military applications, contributing to the recovery and modernization of Ukraine's energy sector.
