When the subject of the rapture of the church comes up, I find more and more people mistakenly saying things like-There isn't going to be a rapture. The word 'rapture' doesn't even appear in the Bible. Is that true?! Well, no, it isn't. Far too often we English speaking North American Christians forget we are not the only people on this planet who own Bibles. There is a Latin Bible that uses the word raptus in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 in the very place where our English Bibles say, caught up. Our theologians simply adopted the Latin word and created our English word-rapture. So yes, there will be a rapture and we should be excited about it! Another question often asked is, Will it be Pre-trib, Mid-trib, or Post-trib? You might be surprised to know that Jesus gives us the answer to that very important question too.
