What if the storm wasn't in the sky but inside a book?
Theo likes rules.
Rules make things predictable. Safe. Quiet.
But when he discovers a hidden room in the back of the library, nothing feels safe anymore.
Inside the mysterious Atlas Room, an ancient Field Guide is leaking rainwater onto the carpet. Within its pages, tiny cloud shepherds are losing control of the weather in their world.
At first, Theo tries to fix the problem the only way he knows how. He makes careful plans. He follows logical steps.
But this is not a problem that follows rules.
With the help of imaginative Mira and observant Jackson, Theo begins to understand that magic does not always respond to instructions. Sometimes it responds to connection.
To stop the growing storm, the three friends must form a circle and share something precious. They offer their brightest memories of belonging and togetherness.
But magic always asks for a trade.
And when the clouds finally calm, something inside them has changed.
Something is missing.
Theo and the Mischievous Clouds is a warm and thoughtful middle grade fantasy about friendship, imagination, and the quiet courage it takes to step beyond the rules.
Perfect for readers ages 8 to 12 who love magical libraries, mysterious books, and stories where belief can change the world.
