The book Tesla Direct Current Arc Lighting System by Thomas Commerford Martin is a comprehensive guide to the history, development, and implementation of the direct current (DC) arc lighting system invented by Nikola Tesla. The book begins with a detailed overview of the early history of electric lighting, including the use of arc lamps in street lighting and other applications. It then delves into the work of Tesla, who developed a more efficient and effective DC arc lighting system that was capable of producing brighter, more stable light with less power consumption. The book covers the technical details of the Tesla DC arc lighting system, including the design and construction of the arc lamps, the electrical circuitry required to power them, and the various components and materials used in the system. It also explores the practical applications of the system, including its use in street lighting, indoor lighting, and other commercial and industrial settings.Throughout the book, Martin provides detailed illustrations, diagrams, and photographs to help readers understand the technical aspects of the Tesla DC arc lighting system. He also includes historical anecdotes and insights into the personalities and motivations of the inventors and engineers who developed and refined the technology.Overall, Tesla Direct Current Arc Lighting System is an essential resource for anyone interested in the history and technology of electric lighting, as well as those interested in the life and work of Nikola Tesla.THIS 20 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Inventions, Researches and Writings of Nikola Tesla, by Thomas Commerford Martin.
