Tembo the Forest Giant is a children's book written by J.W. Wilwerding. It tells the story of a young elephant named Tembo who lives in the African savannah. Tembo is different from other elephants because he is much larger and stronger than them. He is often teased and ridiculed by other animals for his size and strength, which makes him feel lonely and isolated. One day, Tembo wanders into a dense forest and discovers a group of animals who are in trouble. The animals are being threatened by a group of hunters who want to capture them and sell them to a zoo. Tembo decides to use his strength and size to protect the animals and becomes their hero.As the story progresses, Tembo learns the value of friendship and the importance of using his strength for good. He also discovers that being different is not a weakness, but a strength that can be used to help others. The book is beautifully illustrated and is suitable for children aged 4-8 years old. It teaches important lessons about kindness, friendship, and self-acceptance, and is a great addition to any child's bookshelf. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
