And as a brilliant and beautiful woman who hailed from Indonesia, Jenny desired to break free from the oppression her mother and all women before her were accustomed to. But it would take the two of them working at Doug's go-go club in California to realize their dreams were only achievable together.
With a vision of inspiring women of the 70s to seek gender equality by unabashedly embracing their sexuality, Doug and Jenny worked tirelessly through the back-breaking and mentally-taxing work of publishing an international magazine. They navigated industry setbacks, legal battles, and personal trials all without truly knowing how a magazine featuring naked men and timely women's issues would be received by the public.
