The imaginary taxes in this book are fictional. They are used to exaggerate real frustrations and expose the strange feeling of being surrounded by payments, bills, taxes, fees and administrative obligations throughout an entire lifetime.
But beneath the humor is a serious civic question.
The taxpayer pays. Who decides how the money is spent?
A government can raise taxes. Public institutions can collect revenue. But citizens can also demand transparency, accountability and responsible management of public money.
This is not a technical tax manual.
It is a satirical examination of the taxpayer's everyday life, where humor becomes a way of asking uncomfortable questions about taxation, public spending and political responsibility.
Because the citizen is not a cash machine.
The citizen is the goose that lays the golden eggs.
And sooner or later, even the golden goose may ask:
How much more? And what happened to all the eggs?
