Tales From the Island: The Naming of the Ugly Grouper and Other Lies From Anna Maria Island

Our Author was fascinated with the name of a local restaurant called The Ugly Grouper and wondered how it got its name. He played around with several ideas, but it wasn't until he met a beautiful bartender named Annah that things fell into place. Reminding him of a Gypsie, he wrote three other short stories about Annah and Anna Maria based on the first story. From there, three other stories were written, loosely based on Anna Maria Island in the 1800s. Also included is a bonus story about The Legend of Duck the Pirate.
