Perhaps it was the New Mexico witch hunts of the 1700 and 1800s that fostered wild supernatural stories that have held so many locals and natives spellbound for centuries. Perhaps the fight between good and evil was brought to the Americas by religion and the customs of the old world. Welcome to a world where the fight between good and evil mixes to produce distinctive cultural stories and local, unique bogeymen. The effects on the culture of the Native Americans and the Spanish Europeans has been profound. The stories and the supernatural experiences continue today. This novel features an all-Native cast of characters. Bowguard, a Jemez Native deep with his own spirituality and religious beliefs, acts as a catalyst for the fight between good and evil in this thrilling fiction. Has he witnessed the fight against the Dark People firsthand? Can saints or medicine men help to control the darkness of his world? What is it that is unnerving about a modern fight for the souls that surround him? When synchronicity meets sacred numbers and owls harvest souls, a cultural suspense story emerges that is riveting in its portrayal. This novel is exciting and it has heart.
