Tad Lincoln: A True Story is a children's book written by Wayne Whipple. It tells the story of the youngest son of Abraham Lincoln, Tad, and his adventures in the White House during his father's presidency. The book follows Tad's mischievous antics, his love for animals, and his close relationship with his father. It also depicts the challenges Tad faced as a child with a speech impediment and his struggles to fit in with his peers. The book is beautifully illustrated and provides a unique perspective on the life of a presidential child during a tumultuous time in American history. Overall, Tad Lincoln: A True Story is an engaging and informative read for children and adults alike.1926. The word true in the title of this slim volume is misleading as it is actually a historical fiction about a mizpah pact between Tad and his father. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
