What happens when one more video becomes another one more?
Oliver loves using Tappy, the family tablet. Tappy is bright, shiny, and full of games, cartoons, stories, and surprises. But when Oliver's snack waits untouched and his eyes begin to feel tired, Dad gently teaches him an important lesson: tablet time can be fun, but it needs a beginning and an end.
With the help of a small blue timer, Oliver learns how to ask first, make a plan, stop when the timer rings, and enjoy other wonderful things too - like drawing, reading, talking with Dad, and looking up at the real moon.
The Tablet That Needed a Timer is a warm, fully illustrated children's book about screen time, healthy habits, self-control, and balance. This gentle story helps children understand that tablets and smart devices can be useful for fun and learning, but they should not run the whole day.
Part of the Safe Tech Stories for Kids series, this book is perfect for families, teachers, counselors, and caregivers who want a friendly way to talk with young children about tablet rules, screen-time limits, bedtime routines, and making good choices.
Inside, children will find:
A bright, fully illustrated story
A friendly message about healthy screen-time habits
Simple tablet timer rules children can understand
Encouragement to play, rest, read, imagine, and connect with family
A positive approach that does not make screens feel scary or bad
