Then there is Pete. What begins as romance eventually leads Tanya to marriage and hopes for the stable future she has always wanted. But when their relationship begins to fracture, another devastating setback forces her to confront life without the security she thought she had finally found.
Still, Tanya gets back up.
As she rebuilds her life and returns to acting, Tanya begins to understand that success does not have to mean becoming a famous movie star. Sometimes success is having the courage to pursue what matters to you, even when other people question your choices. Her determination eventually puts her on the big screen, and she discovers she can be happy even without becoming a major star.
Survival Girl is a candid story of resilience, dysfunctional family relationships, love, betrayal, self-discovery, personal growth, and starting over. Through Tanya's imperfect choices and hard-earned lessons emerges a message for anyone who has struggled to find a place in the world: your beginning does not have to determine where your story ends.
