Studying the Word of God is not coming at it with a desire to find what one wants to be there. It is approaching the Scriptures with as little pre-suppositions as possible, allowing the Bible to speak for itself. It is our duty to listen and to pay attention to what is being said and conveyed. Our personal feelings and opinions must be subjected to the truth of Scripture-not elevated above it.

In Studying God's Word, it is quite evident that Timothy Klaver has an immense passion for the Word of God and especially for the truth of God's Word. 1. Context, context, context!
2. Compare Scripture with Scripture!
3. Wrestle with and submit to what the text actually says, and conform your beliefs accordingly.
