Stribor's Forest is with no doubt the most popular Croatian fairy tale, and its author, Ivana Brlic-Mazuranic (Croatian Andersen, Slavic Tolkien) the most famous Croatian writer for children, if not - and many scholars would agree - the best author that Croatian literature ever had.
This is a story about love and sacrifice for others, loved by children and their parents. And also, a story about why long time ago magic was gone...
Stribor's Forest is now available in Turkish language! The story was translated by Ayla Hafız Küçükusta, translation was redacted by Ekrem Čausevic, the book was edited by Esma Halepovic Đečevic, and published by Croatian-Turkish Association and Bulaja naklada, with the illustrations by Alistair Keddie from the cartoon Stribor's Forest, a part of award-winning multimedia project Croatian Tales of Long Ago by Bulaja naklada.
