Stonewalled is a novelized true story. When the United States government passed new environmental laws under the 2010 Clean Air Act to dramatically reduce carbon and related exhaust gases from fossil fuels, two young automotive geniuses responded. Utilizing their knowledge and experience gained in their Formula One Racing careers, they set out to perfect a technology that would achieve the federal government's guidelines to reduce exhaust emissions and increase fuel efficiencies. With the government's focus on diesel engines, the twin brothers refined their technology to change the very nature of diesel fuel so it would be thoroughly consumed in conventional diesel engines. The twin's new system could be added to existing diesels engines utilized in heavy trucks, construction equipment, ocean going vessels and sea ports. After ten years and millions of dollars spent on research and development, having passed every federal testing protocol, their new technology was perfected and proven in field trials and in the nation's most sophisticated testing laboratories. The new fuel system offered an increase of 25 percent to 50 percent fuel efficiency while reducing exhaust emissions below the proposed 2010 air quality standards. It seemed a foregone conclusion that the United States government would welcome the new technology with open arms. Instead, the industrial and financial 'elite' who control the nation's lobby-based government reared its ugly head. This new technology was forced into prolonged bureaucratic red tape and unexplainable harassment. Ultimately the twins' miraculous technology was denied federal approval and certification, ending in the death of a world altering technology. Now the nation is faced with the Green New Deal and the banning of all fossil fuel. The author was intrigued with nature from childhood. Seeing the pristine spring fed river of his youth irreversibly polluted, he devoted his life to the abatement and remediation of pollution. After college the author worked for the state water quality agency and took part in restoring the Houston Ship Channel, which was among the nation's most polluted waterways. After leaving the state the author went on to found eleven environmental corporations providing design, construction, and operations of treatment and remediation services. Now retired, the author and his wife enjoy the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and tending their country property.
