Stone Bones is a narrative from the thoughts, perceptions, joys, sorrows and experience of a Vermont farm boy. Jason is a child, he believes unwanted and rejected by his mother. He enters into the milieu of society with great cynicism. He seeks his purpose or reason he survived when his twin sister did not. He has sexual feelings, uncertain, is is gay or straight or bisexual. He will not be moved to define himself. Jason is a typical teenager with an edge. The story climaxes when he admires a charismatic boy, Dogwood and then believes he is somehow that boy. That's impossible, or is it.
