Stepmother is the story of Chanel Voris a spoiled, stubborn young woman whose beauty and brains moved her from the depths of poverty to the heights of society. It is also a tale of murder, deceit, revenge and finally retribution. When her husband dies Chanel is left with very little to live on and is forced to sell most of the few items she has left to feed herself and her two small daughters. Just by chance she meets a ships Captain, and owner who had built a successful import export business. Chanel marries Andrew and discovers he has a beautiful little girl of his own, but instead of seeing a sweet lonely child, she sees an obstracle; a stumbling block in the path of her own daughter's future happiness. With the help of an unlikely ally she sets out to regain the future for her daughters she had planned, a future she thought was lost.
