In the heart of a lush, forest lives a Poplar tree named Spruce. Despite his leafy exterior, Spruce has always felt a peculiar disconnect with his name, which his grandmother chose for him long ago. He's never quite felt like a Poplar; in fact, he's always wondered if he was meant to be something different altogether.

One fateful night, a ferocious storm sweeps through the forest, leaving Spruce battered and broken. His once majestic canopy is torn away, leaving him a mere trunk amidst the wreckage. In his darkest hour, Spruce grapples with profound questions: Was his grandmother's choice of name a mistake? Is he even a tree anymore? Could this disaster be an opportunity for a new beginning, or is it simply the beginning of the end?

As Spruce struggles with these deep questions, his loyal friend, Twinkle the bluebird, offers hope and companionship. Twinkle, with his boundless optimism, takes matters into his own hands and believes the stormy aftermath is the perfect chance for Spruce to discover his true identity. As he rallies support from his woodland friends, they embarks on a journey that ultimately uncovers the answers he has been desperate to find.
