The wonder of nature is revealed on the life journey of a tree named Sprout. From her humble beginnings as a small acorn germinating into a sapling then growing into a mighty oak, Sprout opens the door to the secret life of trees.Children will learn of the many animals, birds, and insects which depend upon the mighty oak for their survival. This interdependence knits together balance of life in our ecosystem. They will be amazed to learn of the many things made from oak wood and be challenged to look around and add more to the list provided. They will learn about the importance of forests and the vital ways trees support a healthy environment. Children will learn the importance of all living things co-existing together in harmony. From seed to tree, children are encouraged to plant an acorn, give it a name, and watch it grow into a tree.
