In junior high, Dombrowski penned his first poem, and was chosen to share the blue-ribbon-winning poem in front of his eighth grade classmates. With the blue ribbon safely tucked away, Dombrowski continued writing poetry and has brought the collection, someday, forth-now to share with everyone.

Michael Dombrowski's poetry shows us the side of a man who is just a regular guy, with a deep empathetic nature and a perception of life that we can all see and feel, but can rarely put into words. Poems such as Blue Collar Destiny captures this aspect in the hardworking life and responsibility men face, while Invisible shows another side that we've all felt.

Through Dombrowski's flow of verse we're met with our own thoughts and feelings looking back at us on the page-our heartbreaks, our struggles, our moments with ourselves.

Some of the poems depict a view of those around us and our society-such as A Walk in the Park and Insanity Marches On-where we're faced with unvarnished truth. While, in Thirteen Steps, the irrevocable despair of a hanging chamber inside a jail is portrayed with keen perception that, while disturbing, evokes empathy, which leaves the reader strangely satisfied.

In the collection, someday, readers experience a sense of nostalgia and an ineffable feeling that reminds us that we're all in this life together.
