A B Mac grew up in the northeast corner of Montana about 100 milesfrom the border of Canada and the border of North Dakota. Her fatherwas a rancher and there were many outdoor chores that needed to be doneregardless of the weather. Montana winters are long and can be very cold, usually getting many snowstorms during the winter months.
