Kyros loves to run.
Running makes sense. Running feels right. Running solves things before they become problems. But when Kyros slips on his dog bone and crashes into the laundry basket, socks fly, towels suffer, and Stormie the cat becomes certain that disaster has officially moved into the hallway.
At first, the bone seems ordinary. It does not glow. It does not hum. It simply waits.
But Stormie, who predicts problems before they happen, notices something strange: when Kyros walks, the bone waits. When Kyros runs, it slides. And when Kyros forgets to think, the bone turns the hallway into a polished wooden racetrack of consequences.
With Stormie worrying, Sky observing, and Kyros trying very hard not to run headfirst into disaster, the three friends must figure out the secret of the Dog Bone of Disaster before the humans come home and discover what happened to the house.
Along the way, Kyros learns that the problem is not really the bone. It is the tiny space between wanting and doing.
