Sid lives in Rome, Italy, and has a passion for making things, doing jigsaw puzzles, and drawing mazes. One day he receives a book asking him to fill in all kinds of questions about his life and neighborhood. He fills in the blanks until the book is finished--or almost finished, for he's missing a fireman's signature on one of the last pages. The imperfection makes him sad, but suddenly the Christmas season begins and Sid plunges into cookie making and constructing ornaments. The unfinished book is forgotten. On Christmas Eve, during a mighty wind, rain, and hail storm, something unexpected happens turning this Christmas into the best Christmas Sid has ever had.
