In ancient Egypt dogs were the dominant species, and humans were their pets. Life was peaceful and perfect, until a vision of the future revealed that one day the tables will turn. Not only will dogs become pets to humans, but in many parts of the world, dogs will be neglected and abused. To try to prevent the catastrophe Anubis sends a team of specially trained pups to gather information in the future. Shellshock is one of those pups. But something goes terribly wrong. Shellshock is the story of an ancient Egyptian pup stuck in modern day Santiago, Chile. It is based on a real dog and her real adventures. This is Chapter 1, in which we meet the heroine and follow her out of Egypt. Stay tuned for 5 more chapters that will entertain and as well educate. This book will reveal the truth about hardships that real dogs face every day in some parts of the world, including being abandoned, chained up, and forced to race at the track. Shellshock will face these realities through her heartwarming and hilarious adventures. She will discover that some humans are worth fighting for. In this modern world of dog and men, nothing is as it seems, and only the purity of a dog's heart will reveal the truth. This is the first major collaboration of Lisa Mitrokhin, and Katherine Dattilo. We hope that you enjoy the world that we have created for you, and that you stay with us till the end of the story. - Lisa and Kat
