The small town of Tolleson Arizona was little more than a smattering of dusty houses when Dan and Judy moved there. All they had were love, dreams, and determination. They wanted a ranch. They had to have a ranch. Nancy was barely a toddler, but she knew very well what she wanted. The horse across the fence called to her each day. She wanted a horse. She had to have a horse. This is a story of dreams, and all that comes bundled with them. Funny, charming, and heartwarming, Judith Chase weaves together stories from her life to give readers hope and happiness. Her stories show the joys of the simple life and the charm and value that families and animals bring. She Only Wants a Horse abounds with love and laughter, and stands a testament to the powers of hard work and a little fun. Every day on the farm brought more adventure to this hardworking couple and their faithful band of children and animals. From meddlesome sheep to affectionate cows, farm life was far from ordinary. This is a book to be treasured, enjoyed, and passed on through the generations. This book is permission to dream.
