Shadow The Railroad Dog tells the inspired story of a small black puppy found alone in a railcar in Meridian, Mississippi during the Great Depression. With little to spare, railroad workers share what they can, and in return, the puppy they name Shadow offers a lifetime of loyalty.

As Meridian grows and changes, Shadow becomes a familiar and comforting presence at the depot, walking alongside workers, greeting families, and quietly witnessing the hardships and hopes of a community shaped by the railroad. Through years of challenge and renewal, Shadow's story reflects the power of kindness, perseverance, and belonging.
