This book came together from years worth of writings on my hard drive. It is written to those who may or may not have experienced church where things did not go well. This could have been abuse from the church, bad experiences, or even belonging to a cult. I recommend this book for Christians and non-Christians that think they are the only ones suffering at what they perceive as the hand of God. I assure you many of us suffer and have felt alone and condemned in the body of Christ. The fact that you can study and worship at home and not feel guilt or shame knowing that you may or may not find a church to accept you is a reality we may have to live with. I have understanding of your pain and in this book I talk about how much the church hurt me and abused me, but toward the end I came to realize sufferings happen because God loves us. Though your individual experiences may have been different I just want to let you know you are not alone in your suffering. The whole thing is is that God does bring sinners up from the dunghills of life just not in our time and not in our way. God allows suffering because he loves us. I have realized through poverty, which continues even now, that God answers prayers. Instead of cursing and being angry at God and our enemies we can realize God uses difficult experiences to build our lives. Because God doesn't always answer prayers in our time and our way doesn't mean God doesn't love you. God uses difficult times to build our characters. Just because you lost money or the woman you loved doesn't mean God doesn't love you: No the contrary is true, God knows without trials we can fail in other ways. Without trials we make mistakes because we may have never went to the school of hard knocks where we lean lessons before we make major mistakes. For me I could have walked out of jail after 3 years instead of prison after 8 years. I would have gotten the easy and not respected or understood the way God works and my books would be lacking as would my other works. Suffering like a pearl in a clam or a diamond under pressure builds beauty.
