A rabbi and a financial advisor walk into a bar. Actually, it was a Mexican restaurant.
And so begins See the Beetle.
Financial advisor Marty Kaplan is having lunch with his old fraternity brother and client, Rabbi JD Aron. Marty wants JD to rein in his spending. JD drains another margarita while plotting an extravagant community fundraiser and fantasizing about the beautiful mystery woman he spotted from the pulpit at Friday night services.
It's only the beginning of Marty's problems.
Just as he's trying to prove himself worthy of leading the money-management firm founded by his father, the stock market plunges, clients begin making increasingly alarming demands, his marriage starts to buckle, his son rebels, and the SEC arrives for a surprise examination.
Marty has built his life around managing risk and maintaining control. But with his family, career, and sanity all threatening to unravel at once, he'll have to decide what-and whom-he's willing to risk losing.
